EAGLES TOPPLE LEADERS
Despite an early set back, conceding in the first five minutes, Canterbury Eagles fought their way back to win by the odd goal in a five goal thriller against Division One leaders, Thanet Colts.

Man of the Match, Thomas Roberts struck the Eagles equaliser with a powerful left foot drive and within minutes, Connor Carey neatly tucked away their second. Eagles showed more desire, forcing the visitors onto the back foot and the lively Matthew Goldbacher pounced to see his shot deflect past the helpless Thanet keeper for a 3-1 half time lead.

Determined defending by Lewis Osborne and Josh Owen limited Thanet’s chances in the second half, but Colts managed to reduce their deficit with ten minutes to go. However Eagles keeper James Hunsley was in fine form to keep out all other attempts including a spectacular penalty save minutes from the end of a thrilling game which was superbly refereed by Mr Daniel Back.
